Come and get the ultimate chance to stretch and grow your imagination by creating your own world for an audience! Whether you aspire to be an actor or are just looking to gain more confidence and have fun, you will love this opportunity. Our mission is that every camper leave the theatre with a feeling of accomplishment and heightened self-esteem through expression on stage. We will begin by studying the basics of acting, improvisation, movement, voice, auditioning, and basic stage etiquette. Then we get into the really fun stuff! Using an original script from the Hampstead vaults, you will rehearse and perform one of our plays. The script will be used as a tool to directly apply the campers newly acquired knowledge of performance. All of your hard work will culminate in a performance of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for the community. You will create a world we have never seen before and bring each character to life as an ensemble. Each camper will get to enjoy every minute of the process and be taught by professional actors and directors who have experience all over the country acting and teaching. Campers will also get the chance to participate in our professional Musical Revue and Charity Auction on the evenings of July 29th, 30th, and 31st! Do not miss this unique opportunity to be a part of something magical!
