The HSC camp is the place to be! Summer 2011 marks the 3rd Annual Youth Theatre Camp at the Hampstead Theatre. You don’t want to miss it! This year, the culminating performance will be at Prospect Mountain High School’s 800 seat theatre. Come and get the chance to stretch and grow your imagination by creating your own world for adoring fans! Whether you aspire to be an actor or are just looking to gain more confidence and have fun, you will love this opportunity! Our mission is that every camper leaves the theatre with a feeling of accomplishment and heightened self-esteem through expression on stage. We will begin by studying the basics of acting, improvisation, movement, voice, auditioning, and basic stage etiquette. Then we start rehearsing, costuming, and making props for the big performance! Using a professional script adapted just for the campers, you will rehearse and perform one of our plays. The script will be used as a tool to directly apply the campers newly acquired knowledge of performance. All of your hard work will culminate in a performance for your friends, family, and the Lakes Region community. You will create a world of imagination and bring each character to life as an ensemble. Each camper will get to enjoy every minute of the process and be taught by professional actors and directors who have experience all over the country acting, directing, and teaching. You don’t want to miss this unique opportunity to be a part of something magical!
